When measuring the waistband of a garment laid flat, place the measuring tape across the waistband. Ensure the garment is lying flat. To obtain the total waist circumference, you should double the measurement you obtain. Doubling the measurement takes into account both the front and back of the garment, giving you an accurate representation of the total waist circumference.
Wrap the measuring tape around your waist at its narrowest point, approximately at the height of your belly button. Stand in a natural position for an accurate measurement. Please avoid entering your pants or shorts size as it may differ from your actual measurement.
HIP
To measure across the hips, place the garment flat and measure at its widest part.
Measure around the widest point of your hips and buttocks.
THIGH
To measure across the thigh section, measure at the highest part of the leg.
Measure around your thigh at the highest point possible, right at the crotch area.
CALF
To measure across the garment where your calf would be, measure horizontally at the calf area.
Measure around the calf at its widest point.
OUTSEAM LENGTH
To determine the full length of the garment, measure along the side seam from top to bottom.
To measure the full length of your pants or shorts, start from the very top down the side and measure all the way to the bottom. If you have an existing pair of pants or shorts, you can also use that as a reference. The pants or shorts will be made to match this precise measurement.
